So cardio has gotten bashed lately!

I see less and less people doing cardio in my gym.

…and more and more “slightly chubby” gym members.

Almost every single person I know who has single digit body fat percentage...performs cardio year round.

So what about Circuit Training, Body Weight Circuits, etc?

Circuits are a great way to get an efficient workout.

…I would even go so far to say that they are good for getting someone down into the 10% body fat range.

…but Intense Exercise like Circuit Training, Kettlebells, etc. Address only 1/2 of the fat loss equation:

Intense exercise, like various forms of circuit training, kettlebells, etc…

  • Releases fat from fat cells into the bloodtream.
  • Burns calories (contributing to fat loss).
  • Creates an “Afterburn Effect” burning calories after the workout.
  • While all of that sounds nice…it is only 1/2 of the fat loss equation!

You see…those Free Fatty Acids are going to get deposited back into the fat cells, if they are not used for energy during the workout.

A major cause of the “Slightly Chubby” phenomenon!

No matter how hard people are busting their butts with this brief intense interval type of training…it is NOT getting the job done all the way.

…and you can’t do too much of this type of training or over-training is bound to occur. More isn’t better in this case. More of the same will not help.

So if more intervals is not going to get the job done, what is?

This simple formula works predictably to burn fat like mad!

So after doing your brief resistance interval workout…add in 15-30 minutes of steady state cardio.

This is how you ensure that those Free Fatty Acids get used up!

Note: If you want to increase muscle density, lift like described in Step 1, and then do the entire Strategic Cardio workout on a treadmill or cardio equipment of your choice.
